If you have read this far in to my web site you probably have already made up your mind to start a home business.

One little fact I want to share with you before I continue. Most of the people living on earth as you read this are poor. 2 Billion of us live on one dollar a day. Millions of us live under or at the poverty line here the USA, we do not have health care or know where to get help on a whole raft of issues.
Millions in America alone leave school unprepared for life in the world of work, they wind up staying with their families, going in to debt, working jobs they do not want and spending their lives in quiet desperation.



Millions more around the world are just turning 18 and looking for something to do but can find little or no work in their countries.

I could go on but you get the picture,people world wide are being left out of the promise of the 21st century, including many who live in the now thriving economies of China, Japan, India and other parts of the Pacific and South East Asia. Work from home,starting a home business, home business startup and self employment are the Watch words of the 21st century!

But where ever you live the first thing to ask your self after deciding to run a business to ask " what kind of business can I run that will help the largest groups of people on earth, the poor, the uninformed, those who are cut off from funding for their ideas, lack of access to markets due to tariffs.

Like it or not the poor, the needy, the uninformed, the jobless and those looking for ways to say out of the ranks of the jobless are part of the largest social group on earth. Look at the social networks and see how many have job sections, groups devoted to job hunting and money making, it's not just greed or vanity that make people look for ways to make money, but a growing need. A need You can fill to some degree with your new home business.

On the dry, practical side there some points to consider when starting a new business.

  • 1. First, Enjoy what ever venture you begin, make sure you want to get out of bed to do the work or don't begin.
  • 2. Make sure there is a real need for what you do. Do your home work, check out information sources relevant to you new venture. This will take time, but it will be worth in the end.
  • 3. Get organized, make some space in your home, away from the noise of home life. work on a schedule, even if you do not work a 8 hour day 9 to 5, make a schedule and stick to it.
  • 4. Be willing to learn all the time, if your too lazy to read a book then listen to a Podcast, watch a video or listen to radio interview on business, some good programs can be found on the BBC Podcast Page
